Wait until you see the sample! The beautiful finish comes in both paint and stain and what a beautiful grain if done in stain! Soft alder look without the knots. Totally customized to your liking... Large panels widths up to 40” per panel! Large uniquely designed frames from inside mounts, Z frames, and outside mounts. We can build just about anything with this Diamond program!  Match your trim or use ours. The Diamond Shutter only uses Grade A select, Kiln dried, moisture controlled Basswood. We just don’t see the problems with this Shutter like what we see out in the field.  It is the best of the best, and next to a different Shutter it is extremely noticeable. You might think plastic or poly until you see this Shutter. No comparison. We love it and so will you. It’s the latest technology and as you run your hand across the panels its smooth satin finish with rounded edges soft to the touch. The best way to describe the look is Soooo… Elegant! Yes you will pay only a little more for this shutter and that is a no brainier.

ABS Solid:
The same Diamond Shutter wood core with am ABS wrap molded to it.
The same wood shutter with a thick ABS molded to it for the harshest environment.  "Tool throwers" and kids with sharp toys can hardly penetrate this finish.  It’s been developed for commercial use and it is just flat out the most durable shutter available for large panels and paint finish only. I don’t think anybody in the industry has a Shutter like this. It’s more expensive and not really a big market for it but we love it! It’s just over the top with the toy throwers in mind.  The Diamond Shutters finish is great for this also but the ABS is over the top!

Polypropylene Shutter:  
The industry calls for a cheap Shutter however this one is actually quality for the money.
A mix of wood composite material that has a polypropylene finish.  It’s a nice Shutter and is our lowest price point.  The panels are a little thinner than the Diamond Shutter.  It’s a great shutter for the price but limited to 30" panel widths.  Neutral white tones only.

Phoenix Shutter: 
Unique Wood Grain Stain Finish
This Shutter has a semi heavy grain for stain finishes.  Not a heavy oak but a soft older Oak look.  Its very light weight and U.V. treated for the Climate, and can be custom stained to your tastes. Kiln Dried and acclimated with moisture control. Single panel widths up to 36".

Cedar Shutter:
Actually made of Cedar. 
Very unique for the wood lodge pole feel. Shutter is made of solid cedar and is appropriate (or suitable) for panels up to 48" in widths. Wow! No other Shutter can do this.  It only comes in stain. This shutter works well where you require the look of a golden oak stain, yet its cedar wood. It's an incredible look!

It's common to be told that wood shutters have issues with warping or cracking etc, than we would love for you to understand the truth. Plastic or poly etc is driving the industry more than ever since there is more profit to make. It has been detrimental to our industry.  Plastic Shutters in a window?  Common sense tells us it will not last.  Companies will also choose woods to work with that allows for larger profits but most of the time the woods are not the highest quality for shutters in the Colorado climate. There are many woods, and they will choose some that are not going to do well but in return they can make a larger profit.

At Colorado Shutters we choose only the best American hardwoods and basswoods, that are light weight moisture controlled, acclimated and kiln dried.  They are also UV finished with polyurethane. It is the best process, materials, and grains to stain or paint. We will not cut corners but instead work only with the best available.

The poly, faux and vinyl shutters have the most issues in Colorado.  We get the phone calls throughout the day with people needing someone to fix their warped, cracked, discolored, and melting shutters they bought elsewhere.  That just shows you the truth of using poor materials to make a larger profit.
